TypeScript / JavaScript React GraphQL OpenLayers Electron Clojure MCP LLM tooling Elasticsearch / OpenSearch Neptune (Gremlin) PostgreSQL / Oracle AWS CDK Terraform Docker GitHub Actions Splunk Scrum / CI/CD
  • Led development of an MCP-based metadata validation system exposing data quality and remediation tools to LLM agents, improving metadata accuracy and search reliability across NASA Earth science datasets.
  • Developed and supported production AI-enabled search features for Earthdata Search, including natural language query decomposition over large-scale geospatial metadata indexed in OpenSearch.
  • Owned production debugging and support for NASA Earthdata Search, working directly with scientists, DAAC engineers, and internal stakeholders via Splunk and Zendesk to triage and resolve incidents.
  • Served as primary technical facilitator between NASA DAAC organizations and the engineering team, coordinating requirements, issue resolution, and system behavior across distributed stakeholders.
  • Migrated the legacy geospatial frontend from Leaflet to OpenLayers and modernized state management from Redux to Zustand.
  • Designed and extended federated GraphQL APIs integrating multiple backend services, including graph-based relationships in Amazon Neptune (Gremlin).
  • Built and shipped an Electron-based download manager with 100k+ downloads.
  • Scrum Master for a 10-person distributed team, improving delivery velocity through CI/CD guardrails and GitHub Actions automation.

Computer Scientist — 558th Software Engineering Squadron, U.S. Air Force
